Executive Consultant Ray Montie Gets Plugged In To Ambit Energy

It proves to be the case time after time: persistence pays off no matter what leadership level you achieve with Ambit Energy. That’s what happened with Ray Montie, who has been a friend of National Consultant and Thompson Leadership Award Winner Brian McClure for many years. Apparently Brian worked very hard to get Ray into the business. Finally, after making call after call over several weeks back in March, Brian asked him, “Do you value our friendship?” Ray’s response was to get on a plane to Dallas to see Ambit Energy’s headquarters and our Business Presentation.
Ray was impressed but he was still concerned with the unknown. “The company I was with was paying my bills and I’d done so well, they’d just given me a Lexus.” Of further concern was that Ray lives 50 miles east of New York on Long Island. Still, he was interested, so Brian directed him to a few area meetings. “I saw [SC] Victoria Pionilla present the business in Queens and I went to another meeting in Brooklyn,” Ray recalls. “I was really impressed with the excitement, the enthusiasm and the sheer number of people at the meetings.”
Ray flew down to Dallas once again in September. What had been empty space in March was now filled with multiple cubicles and a whole lot more people working at the corporate office. “The growth I saw over those six months was amazing. Jere Thompson’s humility and Chris Chambless’s excitement about the business impressed me, and the integrity of each of those individuals was far beyond my expectations. Plus, it was the best compensation plan I’d ever seen.” So at long last, Ray joined Ambit Energy. “If it had been anybody but Brian [as a sponsor], I would still be with my old company. He’s been a huge, huge help. I couldn’t ask for a better sponsor.”
The Hard Work Begins.
“We took the attitude to do whatever it takes. I basically lived in Yonkers for 50 days,” Ray says. Some days, because he had to go through New York City, it was a two-hour drive each way. “We just kept showing the plan. I buried myself in helping others get promoted.” After one 2-on-1 business presentation, the prospect simply asked, “What do I need to do?” Ray told him, “You need to get promoted quick!” Aidan Ruane did just that, promoting himself to SC in nine days.
Ray feels fortunate to have met and brought in SC Norbert Hennessy from Scarsdale, in Westchester County. “Norbert must have 200 people in his organization already. Denis McCarthy, Geraldine O’Brien and Marcus Casseus have also been great leaders,” Ray says of other Senior Consultants in his downline. But the growth is coming from everywhere. “At my other companies, you counted on your leaders to build the business. With Ambit Energy, there are people without any network marketing experience who are building big organizations.”
How To Build Success.
“Be excited!” Ray exclaims. “Excitement is contagious. Get to meetings, go to trainings. To be on top of your game you need information. Get plugged into Power Zone,” he advises. “And surround yourself with positive people. Pick four or five people who want this as bad as you do. We’re not looking for $399. We’re looking for business partners. Treat this like a billion-dollar business and it will treat you like that in return.”
Last night Ray held a meeting that was set up for 75 people, 150 showed up, 20 signed up on the spot and 11 more signed up today. “Here in New York there has been so much success. It’s non-stop. I’ve never seen anything like it!” Tomorrow Ray and his team are hosting a training event. “What really excites me about Ambit Energy is that with this business I have a real opportunity to change people’s lives. And I love it!” So do we, Ray.
Stay Energized!
